Dante Falconeri may — or may not — be around to vote the next time his mother-in-law Laura runs for mayor of Port Charles, but his portrayer, Dominic Zamprogna, is all set to cast his vote in real-life!
Congratulations, Dominic Zamprogna
The actor recently took to Instagram and shared his brand-new Certificate of Naturalization. According to the website STILT, a Certificate of Naturalization document proves that “the person named in the certificate has obtained U.S. citizenship through naturalization. Naturalization refers to the process in which a person not born in the United States voluntarily becomes a U.S. citizen.”
The actor wrote this next to the photo: “New post with removed important immigration info that I prob should’ve omitted the first time around.. Don’t steal my height!!! And.. I still get to vote!!”
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Zamprogna’s parents operated a dance studio. His dad, Lou, in addition to being a dancer and choreographer, ran an acting school. Zamprogna’s two sisters, Gema and Amanda (his twin) are both actresses.
Zamprogna joined GH in 2009 in the coveted role of Olivia Falconeri’s (Lisa LoCicero) son Dante, the long-lost son of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Not knowing Dante was his son, Sonny shot him in the chest after finding out he was an undercover cop assigned to infiltrate his organization and bring him down.
Zamprogna left GH in 2018 and has returned for short stints here and there. Recently, the actor has let it be known on social media that he’d enjoy putting on Dante’s police badge once more. Wouldn’t a triangle with Dante, Lulu (Emme Rylan), and Dustin (Mark Lawson) be just what the (soap) doctor ordered? Stay tuned.
Soap Hub congratulates Zamprogna on his Certificate of Naturalization. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for air times.
