General Hospital Nap Time: Are Kim and Julian Boring For Fans??

On paper, this General Hospital had potential. Kim (Tamra Braun) was a strong, independent single mom, balancing raising a sick son with a stressful job while learning to co-parent with Drew (Billy Miller), the guy who didn’t remember their relationship but was open to forming an unconventional family.

And Julian (William DeVry)? Julian was a mobster trying to go straight by opening a restaurant people who hate him seem compelled to come to, and tip-toeing around a relationship with the daughter who prefers a different mobster, and a son who feels the same.

There was a lot of interesting material to mine there, including their families, their values, and their varying levels of hotness. But, in spite of all that, are Kim and Julian boring viewers? What over 12000 fans had to say:

Snooze-ville!
They’re so dull, 71% of you whine. Just how much avocado toast eating is supposed to be entertaining?

Sam (Kelly Monaco) comes by every once in a while to tell Julian he sucks, while Lucas (Ryan Carnes) thinks Julian is too dangerous to spend time with Wylie, even though Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) are cool.

Meanwhile, Kim is being sued by Oscar (Garren Stitt) and fretting about his involvement with Dawn of Day. But those are separate stories. They don’t make us root for Kim and Julian as a couple. And that’s pretty boring.

Hotbed of Excitement
Only 29% of the audience finds Kim and Julian interesting, and that has less to do with what’s happening in their relationship and more with what has the potential to happen. On paper, they’re intriguing.

Will Kim make Julian turn his back on back tactics – like the ones he used on Willow – once and for all? Will Julian turn Kim to the dark side? Will Drew be a factor? Will Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn)? Anything CAN happen. Will it?
