While it seemed like “General Hospital” was backing away from its controversial storyline about Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) questioning her sexuality, this past week it was reignited with a vengeance.
There was even a love scene for the young woman with the object of her affection – usually a taboo on daytime. Soap Hub asked if you are enjoying this storyline. So how did fans react?
In a Nutshell
Not well, really. With over 2,000 votes, 64% of you said “no”– you’re not enjoying this storyline. This is controversial for a couple of reasons. It could be that seeing two women in a love scene is too much for you. Maybe you don’t see their chemistry and it has nothing to do with it being two women.
Then again, you may be fine with the idea and simply repulsed by the blatant abuse of power that a professor would have over a student. Society frowns when a female teacher takes advantage of a male student – how is this any different? Kristina needs to find someone closer to her age.
Love is Love
A healthy 32% are all-in on this story. You realize that Kristina needs to figure out who she is, and you’re along for the ride. These two women are gorgeous, single and they have a history the bears exploring. Are they a super couple in the making? You’re willing to stick around and find out.
Moving On
Apparently 5% of you could take it or leave it with this story. It doesn’t offend your sensibilities, but you’re also not invested. Maybe you’re all about Jason and Sam or Kiki and Morgan. Either way, you enjoy watching “General Hospital” even if not this story.
