Is It Time for Kimberly McCullough to Stay on GH for A While?

After Anna took ill and ended up in General Hospital, her daughter Robin rushed to her bedside.

It marked yet another visit from actress Kimberly McCullough, who’s returned to General Hospital on numerous occasions since Robin moved to California with Patrick and Emma in January 2016. The character’s visits are always poignant and story driven.

Robin helped to talk Sonny (Maurice Benard) out of committing suicide after Morgan’s death and was recently a guest at Maxie and Nathan’s wedding.

Is it time the popular actress brings her character back to the soap for a significant run? GH fans weighed in on the prospect courtesy of Soap Hub’s poll.

Yes, Kimberly and Robin Must Stay
A major 92% of fans really miss Kimberly McCullough and Robin. So it’s no surprise you want her to stay on the soap for a while. The character remains an integral part of the Port Charles family, and you feel the show is just not the same without her.

Now that Anna (Finola Hughes) has been diagnosed with cancer, you’re hoping Robin sticks around for a few months to help guide her mother’s care.

No, It Won’t Work
Meanwhile, 4% of you don’t think a long stay would work for McCullough and Robin. The reason is simple: Robin was happily written off the soap with Patrick and their daughter Emma. It was the perfect ending for Scrubs fans.

If Robin’s return means the soap would have to split up the couple, you’d rather it not happen. You’d prefer the character simply pop up for a few days here and there, so that Robin and Patrick can truly live happily ever after.

Maybe Yes, Maybe No
The final 4% of GH fans would be behind a longer stay for Robin, if the show doesn’t mess with her and Patrick’s happy off-screen marriage. That would require the soap scripting a perfect explanation as to why Patrick can’t join his wife in Port Charles.

However, if the only way to have McCullough and Robin back is to end Robin’s love story with Patrick, you would be against it.
