The General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, January 30 features a tear-jerker of an episode where the writing was on the wall for Detective West.
Heartbreak
While Nathan (Ryan Paevey) pulled through surgery and stabilized, Griffin (Matt Cohen) seemed bleak about his future. Maxie sat with her husband in his room and babbled on and on about their baby in an effort to remain sane, but then left Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) with Nathan so she could break down in the ladies’ room.
Nina (Michelle Stafford) also remembered Nathan’s childhood and how much she loved him, while Liesl (Kathleen Gati) blamed herself for finally claiming Nathan as her son and not just her nephew.
When Maxie returned, Nathan woke up and was able to feel the baby kick for the first time. Then, he told Maxie how much he loved her, closed his eyes, and flatlined.
Answers
Elsewhere in the hospital, Jason (Steve Burton) got Faison (Anders Hove) to actually give him some answers. He learned Faison took Drew to control because Jason’s brain damage wouldn’t allow him to be controlled. He also said his son was supposed to kill Jason, but didn’t, and that Drew knows more than he realizes.
Jason told Drew (Billy Miller) what Faison said, but of course Drew doesn’t seem to know or remember anything.
Bad Decisions?
Also in the hospital, Finn (Michael Easton) did his best to convince Anna (Finola Hughes) they belong together and should give their relationship a shot.
And, Anna did her best to convince Finn that no matter what they feel for each other, her life is too dangerous for him. It looked like Anna might have won the argument due to her stubborn streak.
