The General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, January 9 features Sam asking Jason for a divorce, leaving his heart shattered.
Wrong Decision?
Jason (Steve Burton) jumped at the chance to see Sam (Kelly Monaco) but should have known it wouldn’t end well. She asked him for a divorce so she could legally marry Drew (Billy Miller) and was prepared with a list of legal reasons.
Sam was shocked when Jason said they should cite irreconcilable differences because he loves her, but she loves Drew.
He then came running when Carly (Laura Wright) called and didn’t take long to get there, so she deduced he just came from upstairs at Sam’s office. Despite being excited at first, she was shocked when she learned Sam wants a divorce and again tried to convince Jason to fight for her.
Even Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was skeptical of the divorce idea because she wasn’t sure it was what Sam wanted.
Sam told her about the New Year’s Eve kiss, which made her even more skeptical, but she finally agreed to do the legal work.
Another Wrong Decision?
Alexis also had to talk Molly (Haley Pullos) down from the ledge when she got the idea to protest her anonymous landlord and bring publicity to what he was doing.
Meddling Mama
But, back to Carly who also had a busy day dealing with Michael (Chad Duell) and meddling in his life when he said he can accept Nelle (Chloe Lanier) working for Ava (Maura West).
Campaign Corner
The Port Charles mayoral race also heated up when both Laura (Genie Francis) and Ned (Wally Kurth) decided they would run. How will they feel about running against one another?
