Ever since showing up on General Hospital (GH), Josslyn’s friend, Oscar, has proven himself to be a fan favorite. Actor Garren Stitt is a welcome addition to the Port Charles canvas, but what is it that fans really dig about him the most??

Sugar, Sugar
He’s sweet, gush 51% of you. That’s not a very common quality for anyone, much less a teenage boy. Oscar treats Josslyn (Eden McCoy) well, and he’s polite to Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard).
He doesn’t seem like someone who’d ever hurt another person deliberately, which is more than you can say about the majority of Port Charles – most especially Joss’s family.
Born Innocent
And speaking of Joss’ felonious, manipulative, and overbearing family, what 27% of fans appreciate about Oscar is that he’s innocent.
He’s not some junior mobster in training, he’s not a tiny con-man (that we know of… yet), and he’s not just out to get steal Joss’ innocence either. Oscar (seems to be) a nice kid.
Looks Matter
Oh, and 7% find him cute as a button.

Nothing Doing
Then again, 13% are happy to report that they don’t like him at all. Who needs sweet? On soaps, sweet just gets you ground under the heel of someone’s heavy boot.
That goes double for innocent. If Oscar can’t protect himself against Sonny and company, he’s going to be cannon fodder sooner rather than later. Remember Michael (Chad Duell) getting shot in the head and spending over a year in a coma that turned him from preteen redhead to teen dirty blond moper?
As for cute, eh… the kid is jailbait. You can’t waste too much time on him until he’s older.
And besides, it might turn out all the above isn’t even true, once we set eyes on Oscar’s mysterious mother… and find out his father’s true identity….
