Sometimes you know a story was never meant to be created, but was created anyway because of circumstances out of writers’ control and that’s exactly what seemed to happen this year on General Hospital (GH).
Kirsten Storms took a leave of absence for personal reasons, and Maxie left town for a temporary job opportunity. This left Maxie’s new husband, Nathan, with nothing much to do–and Ryan Paevey likely needs to work a specific amount of days per week according to his contract.
So, ask Man Landers was born and a recurring player who never really had a purpose, got one–albeit a ridiculous one according to a large majority of GH fans.
Soap Hub asked if Man Landers needs to go and as nearly 5,000 of you weighed in, your thoughts couldn’t be more clear.
PLEASE MAKE IT END
End this already, say 86% of you. While you have nothing truly against the character of Amy, she doesn’t belong in Nathan and Maxie’s orbit while they’re still newlyweds. Plus, the whole story is a bit ridic to begin with.
It doesn’t really move story and is nothing more than an arc that was created to give two performers work when one actor was away. Well, now Storms is back, she knows Nathan is Man Landers, and we can just end this now.
But, nope, it never seems to be over and this week we get a publishing party. We hope it’s not as exciting as the art opening party or we might not be able to handle such drama.
Awww, But It’s Cute
Of course, there are 14% of you that love the story and think it’s fun. With all the mob drama, bombs, fires, and, shootings, a little light-hearted story that also brings attention to the plight of American war vets is welcome.
