A mysterious tweet from General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini left the soap fandom wondering what could be coming just in time for February sweeps.
GH typically does something special each February, calling it fan February. In 2015, it asked fans who they’d like to see return for a limited run, and it delivered in May with an appearance by Alicia Leigh Willis as Courtney.
Last year, Valentini tweeted a very special video of him and Michael Easton meeting in a supermarket cereal aisle (staged, of course) with the producer asking Easton to return to the show. (Easton’s Silas Clay had been killed over the summer and fan outcry produced various petitions. By the end of the month, the actor appeared as Dr. Hamilton Finn.) Now, it looks like something big is coming for 2017.
There’s exciting GH News coming this week. Stay tuned #GH

With a vague tweet like this, it’s anyone’s guess what surprise might be in store for GH fans, but Soap Hub is here to make a few guesses.
Ever since ABC won back the rights to All My Children and One Life to Live in December, speculation has run rampant that characters from these two beloved soaps might appear in Port Charles. In fact, ABC execs have said there have been frequent talks on how to use the shows in some way.
Actress Kristen Alderson recently expressed interest on a return visit to the show via Twitter, if someone would ask her. Perhaps she’s returning as OLTL’s Starr Manning rather than Kiki Jerome, and she and Hayley Erin can share scenes together.
Steve Burton’s last scenes on The Young and the Restless aired last week, soon after Burton tweeted that he’d never say never to daytime. How exciting it would be for fans to have this actor back, whether as Jason Morgan or as someone else.
Of course, an ultimate surprise would be to learn of the return of Luke Spencer, but that does seem like a bit of a pipe dream as last we heard, Tony Geary was enjoying his retirement in Amsterdam.
Whatever GH and Valentini have in store, we can’t wait to learn what it is. And, you can bet on Soap Hub letting you know as soon as we know.
