Sam laid at the bottom of the ravine on General Hospital, while Jason searched for her above on the footbridge.
Pregnant and in pain, poor Sam was unable to muster up the strength to call out for help after Olivia (Tonja Walker) threw her off the bridge. Then, the situation got worse, when she began having contractions and realized she was going into labor. Fortunately, Jason eventually discovered his ailing wife, courtesy of some well-placed moonlight. Then, he rushed down to save Sam and deliver their baby daughter. Soap Hub asked General Hospital fans about the perilous Sam scene. Here’s what you had to say.
It Was Awful
A major 71% of you found the Sam (Kelly Monaco) at the bottom of the ravine scenes completely unrealistic, particularly the fact that she couldn’t yell out for help. That made absolutely no sense to you. Wouldn’t being in pain from her fall and labor have produced a few loud, bloodcurdling screams? You expected some serious shrieking from Sam, but instead got total silence.
It Was Moving
Meanwhile, 28% of you found the moment totally moving and realistic. Sam was freezing cold, afraid and desperate to protect her unborn child. You don’t think she had the strength to scream. Plus, she was in too much pain to muster up any yelling. Instead, she directed all her focus on keeping her baby calm.
It Was Somewhere in Between
The remaining 1% of you are somewhere in between. You liked parts of Sam being in peril and Jason (Billy Miller) ultimately finding and saving her. However, her lying at the bottom of the ravine unable to call out for help seemed a tad lame to you.
