Spinelli may be knee-deep in an investigation surrounding the sinister intentions of Peter August aka Henrik but actor Bradford Anderson certainly has a reason to celebrate.
That’s because he was born on September 21, 1979, in Meredith, New Hampshire which means that this talented performer is turning 40 years old today! Although most parents try to dissuade their children from entering the highly competitive performing arts world, Anderson’s mother Noni — who worked at a local theater company — encouraged both her children to pursue acting careers.
Anderson’s first theatrical performance was at the age of six and the role was an absolute classic: Tiny Tim from A Christmas Carol. He graduated from Inter-Lakes High School where he earned the Superlatives “Best Singer,” “Most Dramatic” and “Most Likely to Succeed.”
Anderson attended the prestigious Tisch School of Performing Arts and through his work with Philadelphia Theater Company he earned a Best Supporting Actor Award for his role as Billy in the play The Goat…Or Who Is Sylvia.
Upon relocating to Los Angeles, Anderson secured a recurring part on the neo noir teen investigative program Veronica Mars. He also guest-starred on a few other primetime programs including What About Brian.
In September of 2006, Anderson auditioned for a part on General Hospital and was immediately hired. The character, Damian Spinelli — a socially awkward, tech lingo speaking, nickname enthusiast — was only meant to be apart of the canvas for a short period of time but the writers were impressed with Anderson so they continued to craft story for him.
The role of Spinelli earned Anderson five Daytime Emmy Award nominations and remained a contract player with the sudser until December of 2013. Since 2014, he has acted as a recurring guest star making himself available for appearances on an “as needed” basis.
Anderson has continued to work on other projects and he has appeared in episodes of Castle, NCIS: Los Angeles and Homeland. He also appeared in a nationally aired commercial for Dunkin’ Donuts.
Soap Hub would like to wish Bradford Anderson a very happy birthday and you can too by clicking on the Twitter link below. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
