When a soap brings an actor back as his fifth Port Charles incarnation between two shows, it better make the character a good one. Michael Easton’s much-heralded “General Hospital” return as yet someone else received much fanfare after Silas Clay was unceremoniously stabbed last summer. The question is–was the hype worth it?
Soap Hub asked what you think of Dr. Hamilton Finn, Easton’s latest GH doctor. Do you like him or would you rather the actor brought back one of his previous four characters.
Out of about 4,000 votes, 65% of you love the quirky new GH doc. You think he’s a good guy deep down, although he’s certainly hiding something big and it’s not just that ginormous syringe.
You love his new female friendships with Carly (Laura Wright) and Tracy (Jane Elliott), but do hope he’ll find a good love interest of his own one of these day. Perhaps Nina or Ava would fit that bill, as both Michelle Stafford and Maura West have proven chemistry with Easton.

A smaller 23% of you find Dr. Finn to be boring and don’t care one bit for his bearded dragon or his secret illness (or maybe even addiction). You wish the show found a way to bring Silas back. After all, what’s a little stab wound anyway? People have survived much worse on soaps.

The final 12% don’t even care about Dr. Finn and whether he’s exciting or not. You’re just happy to have your beloved Michael Eason back on your daytime screens in any form you can get him.
