General Hospital Deleted Scene: Joss And Trina Mourn Dustin

Poor Dustin and Dev died on General Hospital two weeks ago thanks to Julian inadvertently blowing up The Floating Rib while the restaurant still had customers inside and not just Jason.

Although Lulu (Emme Rylan) understandably took Dustin’s (Mark Lawson) death hard, she soon slipped into a coma, so it’s been up to the teens to mourn both deaths properly. Dev (Ashton Arbab) was part of Joss (Eden McCoy), Trina (Sydney Mikayla), and Cam’s (Will Lipton) little clique, while also part of Joss’s family’s household. And Dustin was their high school English teacher, in addition to Brook Lynn’s ex and Lulu’s new love.

When Joss and Trina were going through Dev’s things, they found one of his school books that got them thinking about Mr. Phillips and hoping nobody would forget about him. Trina also admitted in this deleted scene that she had a crush on the teacher and Joss then admitted the same, glad that he just ignored half the sophomore class crushing on him.

The girls then decided they should arrange an assembly to or dedicate part of the school library to remember Dustin, which is more than anyone else in Port Charles is doing. It was a tender scene that should have made it to the screen, but alas, like so many other scenes of late, GH decided it had to cut this one out in editing and it only made it to social media and now to Soap Hub.
