Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join the General Hospital fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the ABC soap.
The week of August 3, 2020
General Hospital returns with all-new episodes this week and there will be several shockers — including a new face on an old character.
A big return and a huge recast. Dominic Zamprogna is back on set filming scenes as Dante Falconieri, Lulu’s (Emme Rylan) ex-husband and Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Olivia’s (Lisa LoCicero) son. The character had been away at a WSB facility receiving treatment for PTSD, following an undercover assignment.
When General Hospital left off in May, Olivia was consulting a psychic to see if she could find him and also taking comfort from Robert, who was mourning the alleged loss of Holly.
Meanwhile, viewers should brace themselves for a new Sam, albeit only temporarily as of now. Lindsay Hartley (ex-Theresa, Passions; ex-Adrianna, Days of Our Lives) will be stepping in for Kelly Monaco for several episodes due to some complications Monaco experienced trying to wear a mask when she returned to the set.
Lynn Herring is back as Lucy Coe on Thursday, August 6 in scenes with Kirsten Storms’ Maxie to discuss Deception business.
ABC fan-favorite Michael E. Knight clocks in more time as attorney Martin Gray this week as the custody battle for young Wiley continues. Will he win his case and get Nelle what she wants. Please note that air dates may be subject to change. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
