Who’s coming and who’s going from General Hospital? Here’s the latest casting news from the ABC soap.
The week of March 13, 2017
Get ready say goodbye to a legend. Jane Elliot is exiting her role of Traci Quartermaine when her contract expires, this spring. The actress has given the show’s brass notice, noting that she plans to retire. Elliot first joined the GH cast in 1978. She won a Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Supporting Actress for her efforts in 1981.
Also on the GH exit list: Kirsten Storms (Maxie). The actress is reportedly taking some time off, again. Storms last left the soap in May 2016 to deal with some skin related issues. Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie, Days) temporarily filled in for her.
Meanwhile, it looks like Nicolas Bechtel will be resurfacing as young Spencer. Genie Francis (Laura) tweeted the news about her TV grandson, saying, “@NicolasJBechtel A little bird told me I might be seeing u soon, well actually a big bird, a really big bird…” Bechtel has been off the canvas since Spencer was sent to boarding school in 2016.
