Who’s coming and who’s going from General Hospital (GH)?

Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future? Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join General Hospital fold in surprise new parts?

Here’s the latest casting news from the ABC soap.

The week of June 12, 2017
Good news for Spinelli fans. Bradford Anderson finally returns as the popular character. Spinelli last appeared in January, although he was temporarily played by Blake Berris (ex-Nick, Days of Our Lives) due to Anderson’s unavailability.

How soon before Maxie follows remains to be seen. Actress Kirsten Storms, however, did recently tweet that she was out shopping for “Maxie clothes” with the soap’s costume designer Shawn Reeves.

James DePaiva, remembered as Max Holden on One Life to Live, is joining the GH cast. The soap’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, released the news via a video on social media that featured the actor. No details about his character were revealed, nor his first air date. DePaiva is the real-life husband of Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair, One Life to Live and GH; ex-Eve, Days).

Eddie Davenport makes another appearance as Helena’s cohort, Costa. He first appeared a few weeks back, delivering Jake’s magic set birthday present.
