General Hospital Comings and Goings: A New Guy for an Old Character in Town!

Who’s coming and who’s going from General Hospital? Here’s the latest casting news from the ABC soap.

Blake Berris (ex-Nick, Days of Our Lives) makes his debut as Spinelli on Friday, January 13 for an arc of episodes. The actor is filling in for Bradford Anderson, who created and has portrayed the character since 2006, but was unable to tackle it this time around due to another work commitment.

Don Swayze, the real-life brother of the late Patrick Swayze, is playing Buzz; the character who planted the bomb in Julian’s car. Swayze is no stranger to daytime. He’s had brief stints on The Young and the Restless (as Charlie in 2010) and on Days of Our Lives (as Rip in 1983).

Brytni Sarpy (Valerie) updated her status with the soap on Twitter. The actress, who joined the show in 2015, has switched from contract to recurring player.
