Who’s coming and who’s going from General Hospital (GH)?

Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join the General Hospital fold in surprise new parts?

Here’s the latest casting news from the ABC soap.

The week of February 5, 2018
Sonny’s long-absent father, Mike Corbin, is set to resurface on Monday, February 5. Max Gail, remembered as Wojo on Barney Miller, is taking over the role. The character was originally played by Ron Hale from 1995 until his retirement in 2010.

Suanne Spoke turns up as Rita, this week, Mike’s new girlfriend. If Spoke looks familiar, it’s because she played the bartender Jason encountered in New York back in October, after making his way home from the Russian clinic.

Kimberly McCullough returns as Robin to attend and help support Maxie through Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) funeral. She last aired in December.

Parry Shen is back in the studio taping scenes as Brad. The actor is slated for more air time, now that Brad and Lucas (Ryan Carnes) have decided to adopt a baby.

Ryan Paevey has wrapped up his stint as Nathan. The actor, who joined the soap in 2013, opted not to renew his contact and was killed off.

Anders Hove’s short run as Faison has also come to an end with the notorious villain finally meeting his maker.

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
