Who’s coming and who’s going from General Hospital (GH)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join the General Hospital fold in surprise new parts?
Here’s the latest casting news from the ABC soap.
The week of February 25, 2019
Fresh off wrapping up his stint as Thorne Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, Ingo Rademacher is heading home to General Hospital, the soap where he made his daytime debut as Jasper “Jax” Jacks. Rademacher revealed the big news via a video on the Official GH Facebook page.
Once a prominent contract player on GH, Rademacher had been featured sporadically in recent years, causing him to leave the show and sign a contract with BB in late 2017. Now that he’s back at the ABC soap, it looks like he may be getting more screen time, as Rademacher noted, “Jax’s legacy is going to continue in a big way.”
Kristina Wagner and John J. York are back on the canvas as Felicia Scorpio and Mac Scorpio, this week, as part of the serial killer storyline.
Brytni Sarpy has exited the soap to tackle the new contract role of Elena on The Young and the Restless. The actress, who began portraying Valerie Spencer in 2015, had been recurring on GH. There’s no word yet regarding whether or not the role will be re-cast.
