General Hospital fans have loved Genie Francis as Laura for over four decades, but they aren’t the only ones. Actress Jen Ray, who is charming fans with her portrayal of kooky psychic Chelsea, has also admired the actress who she recently shared scenes with — in fact, she admires her more than you can imagine.
While she may be new to GH audiences, Ray is an acting veteran, having been a part of all nine seasons of the hit comedy, The Middle, and having guest-starred all over primetime as well. But as a young girl, she was a huge fan of General Hospital and had a specific dream, which the actress recently revealed to her followers on Twitter.
“My teenage self would have never dreamed that I would be acting opposite of Genie Francis! To top it off, she is SO kind, SO beautiful, SO talented & was SO fun to act with! Thank you Genie for being YOU! @GeneralHospital @GenieFrancis #GeneralHospital #Soapoperaroyalty #lovedher”
Fans can appreciate her words greatly as many share their praise of Ray as well as Francis, happy that the thespian was able to make her teenage self’s dream come true. And the scenes were wonderful on Tuesday, as Laura set out to prove Chelsea was a fraud but instead got a beautiful message from her late sister, Amy.
These were scenes fans have been hoping for — that something would happen to prod Laura to possibly begin a search for her son, Nikolas. After all, this is the second mention of Nik that implies the supposedly dead dark prince isn’t so dead after all.
Unfortunately, for now, it looks like the mention of her “other son” has caused Laura to return to thinking that Chelsea simply doesn’t know what she’s saying, musing that she must not know that her son is dead and therefore couldn’t be in trouble like she predicted. Here’s hoping these aren’t just red herrings and that Nik will soon return.
