Who Is the Best Snarker in Port Charles?

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s the best General Hospital snarker of them all? Some people laugh in the face of adversity. Some people cry. Some snark.

But while the first two come naturally, snark is a cultivated skill. It has to convey cool detachment while also zeroing in for the kill, and making the person you’re pretending not to care about care enough about what you think of them to feel bad. It takes a deft touch.

When Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) first came to town over 30 years ago, she had to deal with Scotty (Kin Shriner), the earnest young law student she coveted, panting over that insipid, boring, virginal Laura (Genie Francis).

Bobbie had plenty of snark to lay on her rival then, and later when, as far as Bobbie was concerned, the same spoiled little brat ruined Bobbie’s brother’s life. Her decades of snarky experience are coming in handy now that Bobbie has Nelle (Chloe Lanier) to deal with, and 71% of you rewarded Bobbie with the top spot in our poll.

If a tumor made Franco (Roger Howarth) kill, does an ingrown hang-nail make him snark? Or is it genetics? After he got over his earnest young law school (and Laura) phase, Daddy Scott got pretty good with the snarking himself.

Franco is a chip off the old block, leading 17% of fans to vote him their favorite.

Death Becomes Her
Coming back from the dead would make anyone cranky, and Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) is no exception. Her need to make everyone aware of her pissed-off feeling is what got 8% of fans to vote her GH’s top snarker.

All In the Family
All the Jerome siblings are competitive, and Julian (William deVry) isn’t about to let sister Olivia garner any honors he was deprived of. He came in last, but 4% did throw him a bone with their votes.
