Done Tryin’ With Ryan: Should The General Hospital Baddie Just Die Already?

On General Hospital, most bad guys get to walk the streets free… and beloved. See, Sonny (Maurice Benard), Jason (Steve Burton), Julian (Willaim DeVry), Ava (Maura West), Nina (Michelle Stafford), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), Franco (Roger Howarth), etc… Hey, it’s a Port Charles tradition.

Don’t forget Alan (Stuart Damon) – the man tried to kill his wife and her lover, several times; Heather (Robin Mattson) – she sold babies and poisoned people, and even Luke (Anthony) – something about a rape… and mob connections (ha! Remember when being in the mob meant something bad?)

But is Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) too bad even for GH? Should he just die already and put us all out of our misery? What almost 13000 fans think:

Ryan is too bad even for Port Charles, 86% agree. He killed random day-players – and Kiki (Hayley Erin). He stabbed Lulu (Emme Rylan).

He locked a blind Kevin (also Jon Lindstrom) and Laura (Genie Francis) in a tomb with no water or bathroom facilities – though lack of one helps the other, and he stabbed Franco. It’s serial killer upon serial killer violence! It’s a serious issue, and the best way to stop it is to just kill off one of them. Problem solved!

Why not just send him to Ferncliff, a smaller 14% of you suggest. That way, we’ve got a psycho in our back pocket for when things get boring – or the cast needs a little pruning.

Actor giving you a hard time over contract negotiations? Set Ryan free and watch them get back in line. Since Franco has sworn off serial killing – until the next tumor – Port Charles needs another boogeyman to scare children with.

Don’t kill him off. You did it once. It didn’t work. Nobody needs a Jason/Friday the 13th situation here.
