This was a film that just about everyone saw but did you know that one of these General Hospital (GH) actors actually had a role in it?
The movie was Pretty Woman, which debuted 1990 starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere… but it also had one of your favorite GH stars in a role as well.
Jacklyn Zeman
Zeman, who has played Bobbie Spencer off and on since 1977, was in an iconic film. In 1982, she appeared in a hilarious film called Young Doctors in Love, an Airplane-like spoof of hospital soap operas that starred Michael McKean and Sean Young. But it wasn’t Pretty Woman.
Michael Easton
You love Easton as Hamilton Finn, the infectious disease specialist with a penchant for WSB missions. In 2005, he appeared in the beloved film Must Love Dogs with Diane Lane and John Cusack. While it rated extremely high on the adorable scale, it wasn’t Pretty Woman.
Finola Hughes
Hughes first appeared on the Port Charles scene as Anna back in 1985, but she was already incredibly recognizable to film-going audiences. That’s because she starred in the sequel to the mega-blockbuster Saturday Night Fever called Staying Alive opposite John Travolta. While she’s beautiful, the film wasn’t Pretty Woman.
James Patrick Stuart
That leaves Stuart, whose Valentin has been wowing GH viewers, especially his pairing with Nina. While Stuart got his soap start on All My Children and appeared in countless other projects, one of his first roles was as the Day Bellhop in the Pretty Woman. The actor shared a tidbit on Twitter about the experience, along with a photo (see below).
“My first gig as a grown up. ‘Pretty Woman’. A scene with Julia Roberts that didn’t make the final cut of the film. I was pretty green.”
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
