Last month, rumors were rampant that Roger Howarth would leave “General Hospital” at the end of his contract. Just as quickly as the rumors started, they were put to a stop by the confirmation that Howarth re-signed, giving Franco more Port Charles life.
With Howarth sticking around, it looks like the Franco and Liz pairing that’s been teased since December actually stands a chance. The two grow closer by the day.
Liz actually has no man in her life and Franco couldn’t seem to make it work with Nina (Michelle Stafford). No matter how many people warn Liz to stay away from Franco, she can’t seem to do it. (It also doesn’t help that son, Jake, is so attached to the art therapist.)
Soap Hub asked how you feel about Roger Howarth staying put and if you’re excited to see a Friz romance move forward.
Out of about 2,500 votes, 90% of you want to see what will happen between Franco and Liz now that both Howarth and Rebecca Herbst plan to stay with the soap for at least another few years.
You love Howarth’s take on Franco, which is much different from James Franco’s portrayal of him as an absolute madman. Sometimes he even reminds you of Howarth’s other rough-around-the-edges reformed soap character, “One Life to Live’s” Todd Manning.
A much smaller 6% of you would rather not see Franco at all. You still can’t over what he did to Jason and Sam, and you also can’t get over what Liz did to them. You don’t want either to find happiness, especially with each other.
The final 4% don’t even care. You can take Howarth or leave him and find both Franco and Liz to be nuisance characters you have no emotional investment in.
