Is the Future Up in the Air for General Hospital’s Kristina?

With a controversial storyline and her fair share of airtime, you wouldn’t know it, but “General Hospital” star Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina) is actually on recurring status.

Ainsworth told ABC Soaps In Depth that she has no idea how long she’ll be around, but it enjoying her second stint in the role as long as she can.

“I’ve been on since October and it’s been awesome,” the young actress said in the May 9 issue of the magazine. “I like the consistency of it, and of course, everyone here that I work with is awesome.”

As it stands, Kristina has been suspended from college for one semester, but that semester is winding down soon. Might she return to school in the fall? With a pretty heavy storyline that involves Kristina trying to figure out her sexuality, it would seem odd for the show to dump the story before it gets a chance to truly play out.

Right now, Kristina is testing the waters with a boy while still having feelings for her older female professor. Soap Hub loves the story and hopes GH gives the amazing Ainsworth a contract so we can keep Kristina around past summer vacation. We also think she’s essential to the Davis girl family dynamic that includes mom Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and sisters Molly (Haley Pullos) and Sam (Kelly Monaco).
