It looks like we’ll be seeing a whole lot more of Franco Baldwin as actor Roger Howarth inks a brand-new “General Hospital” contract.
According to Serial Scoop and Soap Opera Digest, the veteran actor has signed a new deal with the 53-year-old soap.,/p>
The veteran soap actor took over the role of Franco from James Franco in 2013 and turned the character from a serial killer to a quirky art therapist, with his murderous tendencies being explained away by a brain tumor.
Howarth began his GH stint as his “One Life to Live” character Todd Manning in 2012, but a dispute between ABC and Prospect Park Productions over rights to the character forced GH to give him the Franco role.
In recent months, Franco has had trouble with on-screen love Nina (Michelle Stafford), but things seem to be heating up with fellow town outcast (Rebecca Herbst).
GH airs weekdays on ABC. Share your thoughts, leave a comment in the section below. Additionally, for more General Hospital spoilers updates, recaps, and news, go to Soap Hub’s Facebook fanpage and join the conversation about all your favorite soaps!
