Just like the rest of us, actors now have spare time for at-home projects thanks to a California shelter-in-place — and former General Hospital star Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin) is no different. But he has a tale about one project that went oh-so-wrong.
Matt Cohen — A Cautionary Tale
The handsome actor took to Instagram and shared a couple of very cool videos of his recent home projects but his post had words of warning.
“#quarentine Has me doing time lapses and home improvement projects. PSA – never change a fan the way I’m doing it in this video. Number one, you could die. Number two, your partner may divorce you! 🤙🦠🤙”
It’s a good bet that his wife of almost a decade, actress Mandy Musgrave (ex-Carol Lockhart, GH), had some stern words for her husband about his daring work. As for where you can see Cohen next, tune in to Entertainment Tonight as a full-time correspondent and co-anchor of ET’s weekend show.
General Hospital History
GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running sudser is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running sudser, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From Luke (Tony Geary) and Laura’s (Genie Francis) gripping romance and wedding, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH knows how to please their viewers.
Bringing the Drama
More than five decades of gripping drama has kept the daytime sudser on the air as other soap operas were axed. It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives, The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). GH airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
