She grew up before our eyes on General Hospital as Emily Bowen Quartermaine, but that doesn’t mean actress Amber Tamblyn doesn’t still have that little girl inside. She revealed her most recent project has pleased that part of her, and she’s gushing all about it.
A New Project For Amber Tamblyn
“It has always been a dream of mine to do a live-action show and get a chance to work with puppets and the brilliant puppeteers who bring them to life. So it makes me squeal with joy to share with you the exciting news that I got to guest star in an episode of HELPSTERS,” the actress wrote alongside images of her with her new pals.
Making Magic Happen
If you are unfamiliar with this program, Tamblyn explains that it’s “a new show from the makers of @sesamestreet alongside veteran puppeteer masters, Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Martin P. Robinson, Tim Lagasse and Ingrid Hansen. SQUEAL! Watch #Helpsters streaming now on the new @AppleTV app. apple.co/helpsters”
While the actress/author had a blast with her new puppet pals, we’re betting they were an even better hit with her daughter, Marlow Alice Cross. Marlow’s father, of course, is Tamblyn’s husband, David Cross.
Great Co-stars, Great Fun
Marlow may only be two-and-a-half years old but that’s almost the age of Sesame Street’s audience and seeing the puppets in person had to have been exciting all the same. Tamblyn has had exciting co-stars in the past.
On General Hospital, Emily had a dog (okay, so she was really Lila’s), a French Briard, so Tamblyn was able to act opposite Annabelle — who got a love interest on the show before she did! Annabelle was in love with Lucky’s (Jonathan Jackson) dog, Foster. It’s doubtful Tamblyn had to worry about that with her latest role. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
