For Jason, the last five years never actually happened on General Hospital (GH). After all, he was drugged up allegedly living in a Russian clinic all that time. (We say allegedly because we can’t be sure he spent the whole five years there.)
But, for Port Charles, lives moved on and some lives even changed for the better. All Jason (Steve Burton) knows from Franco (Roger Howarth) is the man who tortured him for years, sexually assaulted Sam (Kelly Monaco), and had Michael (Chad Duell) raped in prison. These are not good memories–and VERY hard to forget.
When he returned to town, Jason had no idea all of Franco’s past misdeeds were explained away by a brain tumor. To shock him even more, he learned former lover and the mother of his son, Liz (Rebecca Herbst), was set to marry Franco.
Today, Jason will be left with this dilemma. Should he save Franco’s life, as the man is under piles of debris after am earthquake, or should he do nothing and leave him to die like Jim Harvey already did yesterday.

Just Do It, Jason!
You’re pretty clear how you feel here with a whopping 90% of you saying, “Jason! SAVE HIM!” You’ve grown attached to Franco over the years and think of him more as quirky (yet rapist) Todd Manning from Llanview and not the serial-killing monster Jason knew.
Even Jake, Jason’s young son, adores him and he’s be crushed if the man who was supposed to be his stepfather is suddenly gone. Even Sam rescued Franco last year when he was in a dog cage (long story), so Jason needs to get over things.
Never Forget
Of course, there’s still 10% of you who can never forgive and forget such atrocities and you don’t expect Jason to either. You never bought the brain tumor defense and remain as angry with Franco as ever. Let him perish, you say.
