Death and grief can make people lash out in places and at people they never expected, and that seems to be what happened to Maxie on General Hospital (GH).
While pregnant with a much-wanted baby, she lost her cop husband, and needed to point blame so she pointed it at Lulu (Emme Rylan).
After all, it was her best friend who decided out of nowhere that she wanted a journalism career and figured luring Faison out of hiding with his new son, Nathan, as bait would be the scoop of a lifetime.
Well, it worked. Her article got him to surface in Port Charles–and then he shot without thinking and killed Nathan. A devastated Maxie (Kirsten Storms) took it all out on Lulu because she couldn’t leave well enough alone and keep Faison away from her and her growing family.
But, is it time Maxie put those hurt feelings away and bring Lulu back in her life.
After a talk with Sam and seeing Lulu on crutches last week, she did begin softening, but she isn’t there yet. But, what do Soap Hub readers think?
Out of more than 4,000 votes, 81% of you are ready for Maxie to do what you think is the right thing–forgive Lulu. While the two were once enemies, they had put all that behind them and went on to become besties.
Maxie certainly shouldn’t have to give up Nina and Sam (maybe Peter), but she should let Lulu back in her life and understand nothing Lulu did was to hurt her. (However, maybe Lulu should give up journalism.)
The other 19% of you thinks Lulu deserves what she’s been getting. You agree with Maxie when she says Lulu only thinks about herself and never thinks about the consequences of her actions–like a typical Spencer, in Maxie’s eyes.
There should be no forgiveness here. Maxie has enough friends and doesn’t need one like Lulu.
