Hit Or Miss: General Hospital (GH) Fans Grade Jason’s Return

Jason’s return to General Hospital (GH) promised fans lots of exciting stories to come. He had windows to smash through, mob hits to arrange, lost years to account for and, oh, yeah, a wife and son to reclaim.

Except it didn’t exactly happen that way. Jason (Steve Burton) gallantly chose to let Sam (Kelly Monaco) think for herself. And when she made the decision to stay with Drew (Billy Miller), Jason swore to keep his distance.

So, instead of winning back his woman, Jason set to figuring out how he and Drew got swapped in the first place, and how his memories ended up in Drew’s head…and on a flash drive. Before you knew it, he was elbow deep in the Faison (Anders Hove) mystery and trying to find the arch-villain’s secret son.

Is this what fans were hoping for? Almost 16,000 regular viewers cast their votes.

Action Man
As long as Jason is in the center of the action, 63% of you are perfectly fine with whatever happens next.

Jason has lots to do without Sam. He needs to find out what happened in Russia, and he needs to give Drew his own memories back. And if it should happen that those memories drive Drew back to Kim (Tamra Braun) and away from Sam… well, you’ll be able to live with that, too. And it won’t be Jason’s fault at all.

Yes, Jason’s relationship with Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) is vitally important and warrants many episodes being devoted to it. But there is just so much friendly bonding 36% of you are willing to put up with.

You want love in the afternoon! Sam! Liz (Rebecca Herbst)! Robin (Kimberly McCullough)! You’re open to anyone at this point. Let’s just stop talking about flash drives and unfinished manuscripts. Please?
