Handsome William deVry currently stars as reformed mobster Julian Jerome on General Hospital, but the actor has left his mark on a number of soap operas over the years playing several intriguing characters.

In The Beginning
Though he was born on April 20 in Montreal, Quebec, deVry spent his childhood moving around the world. He lived in Guinea, Africa as a kid, and he ended up moving to Florida when he was 19 years old. Coming from a family of very successful athletes, deVry initially wanted to be a professional baseball player before he turned to acting.
His great-grandfather was a man named Herman DeVry, who founded the DeVry Institute. It is now called DeVry University, which is frequently featured in commercials on TV.
Joining the Soap World
He has worked in Canada and appeared all over primetime, but his first role on an American soap was in 2002 on Port Charles, where he played Tim Dolan for a few episodes. But the next year he would set Pine Valley on fire as All My Children’s dastardly Michael Cambias. He later played Storm Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful.
While he’s not currently married, deVry is in a relationship with actress Rebecca Staab, who was also on Port Charles where she played Elizabeth Barrington. The gorgeous couple has been together for over a decade.
Must Love Dogs
Staab and deVry have opened their hearts and home to children of the four-legged variety. They have adorable rescue dogs whose pictures can often be seen on both actors’ social media accounts.
