Sonya Eddy is currently best known for playing tough but sympathetic Epiphany Johnson on General Hospital, but the actress has done so much over the course of her career.

In The Beginning…
Eddy was born on June 17 in Concord, California. She became interested in performing at a young age and knew she wanted to continue her passion well past college. She attended the University of California at Davis and double majored in both English and African-American studies, but she got her minor in Dramatic Arts.
Theater First
While in college, Eddy began her acting career on-stage in the production of Zora, Is My Name. She then continued to perform in shows such as Comedy of Errors, The Crucible, Pericles, and Into the Woods. She also won an Arty Award for her performance in South Pacific!
Film Appearances
Along with her work on television and on the stage, Eddy has made appearances in films such as Bad News Bears, Coach Carter, Daddy Daycare, Barbershop, Matchstick Men, The Hive, Seven Pounds, and Surviving Christmas.
The Only Person To Ever Do It
Eddy became the only actor to ever be cast on ER twice. She was on an episode in 2001 as a secretary and returned in 2006 as the character of Harriet for two episodes.
Voice Work
While she stays very busy acting on television, in movies, and on-stage, Eddy is also a trained voice actor.
