As Good A Reason As Any
When she was six years old, Herbst announced to her mother that she wanted to become an actress so she could get to play with all the new advertised toys. Her mother found an agent who hired Herbst and the young girl would go on to appear in over 60 commercials.

Decisions, Decisions
Not only is Herbst a talented actress, but she is also an ice-skating champion. After competing professionally for many years, 16-year-old Herbst had to make the decision to either pursue skating full time or put all her efforts into her acting. She, of course, choose acting and has never regretted the decision.

No Relation
One question that has dogged Herbst for years is if she is any relation to fellow GH star (and former on-screen hubby) Rick Hearst whose family name is actually Herbst. She can confirm that there is no familial connection whatsoever.

Fans In Action
Back in 2011, Herbst found her self on the chopping block with her firing being explained as, “storyline dictated.” Intense fan outcry, including a write-in campaign, led to a complete reversal and Herbst was rehired four weeks later.

On Set Romances
