We completely get the fact that Jason and Carly are best friends on General Hospital (GH). They’ll do anything for one another, they’ve known each other forever, and they’re one another’s person.
But, never forget that when they met, the sexual chemistry was there as one game of pool was all it took to get them into bed without even knowing the other’s name. And it brought them back for more many times over.
Of course, that was a short-lived affair decades ago and Jason (Steve Burton) and Carly (Laura Wright) have stayed out of one another’s beds since.
But, right now, it sure looks like that they want that to end. Carly is locked away in an institution for the criminally insane and hasn’t mentioned her husband once.
Meanwhile, her husband is much more concerned his Alzheimer’s-afflicted father might remember details about a dead body in Croton from about 30 years ago, Carly be damned. (Carly? Who’s Carly?)
As Sonny laments about the missing dead body and Mike’s unreliable memories, Jason is now at Ferncliff cleaning up after Carly and the other patients–literally. He has a job as a janitor now just to keep his eye on her. Now, that’s dedication.
Does he care that Sam really is free and attempted to flirt with him last week as he babbled on and on about Carly? Nope. Doesn’t mean a thing. Sam, be damned. (Sam? Who’s Sam?)
So, there’s just one next logical step here. And it will take everything full circle.
When Carly does eventually get sprung from Ferncliff, go drive to a roadside bar, play a game of pool, chug some beers, and get a room, guys. Get a room. That’s the only way this thing can go at this point.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
