Farewell, Nelle, You Made Crazy Look Oh-So Good On General Hospital!

We knew from the beginning there had to be something more to that girl who showed up on the Corinthos doorstep to crash Bobbie’s birthday party two years ago. So, General Hospital (GH) – and Emmy-winner Chloe Lanier – gave us so much more.

She was just too sweet, and it’s a soap, so clearly there was more to her story. Sadly, the reveal that she was Carly’s adoptive father’s biological daughter fell flat, but the performances certainly did not.

We knew we had a master sociopath on our hands when Nelle gave us her first devious look while eavesdropping on Carly and Sonny one night.

Tuesday was Nelle’s swan song and that look has always told us what was in Nelle’s mind. Lanier earned her Emmy for a reason. All we had to do was watch her eyes, her cold stare, her devious – or often phony – smile.

Lanier never failed to entertain, even when the story didn’t go quite as we wanted, so today Soap Hub pays tribute a young actress who’s bound to go far – with this little trip down Nelle memory lane in the video above.
