As soon as General Hospital fans learned that Sasha was only pretending to be Nina’s long lost child — on Valentin’s orders (and payment) — they began casting around the canvas, wondering who else might be a likely candidate.
Kiki (Hayley Erin) always made the most sense. Ava (Maura West) is definitely the kind of person who would kidnap her lover’s comatose wife’s baby and pass her off as her own, either to hold onto him or, you know, for the evils.
Back when that seemed like the strongest possibility, Nina (then-Michelle Stafford) cutting baby Avery out of Ava’s womb and absconding with her seemed like karmic payback.
But Kiki is dead now, and so is the possibility of her being Nina’s child. Which left Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Her past is hazy, her mom could be a kidnapper — or just a clueless adoptive mom — and, most importantly, Willow and Nina are often at odds over Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). What could be more perfect? But are over 7,000 of you still on board for this story?
The Pieces Fit
Bring it on, 72% of the audience has been ready for months now. It’s kind of obvious to anyone who has ever watched a soap before that the big twist will be Willow. Let’s get on with it, already!
Let’s see Nina (now-Cynthia Watros) react to finding out that the woman she’s crossed swords with multiple times is her previous lost baby. And then let’s really see her react to Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) making it seem like Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) was the one.
Turn Down the Volume
Please, no, 38% of you beg. Nina yells and screams and acts like it’s the end of the world over…everything. You are not looking forward to hearing her yell and scream and act like it’s the end of the world over something where she actually has a point!
