Soap Hub caught up with General Hospital favorite Josh Swickard (Chase) for a quick chat. From his favorite show as a kid to the thrill of his very first car, learn a little bit more about Port Charles’ top cop.
Josh Swickard Answers Questions
What did you learn about yourself during the stay-at-home order?
[It was] a huge learning experience for me. I’m taking an hour in the morning to pray, meditate – whatever you want to call it. It really kicks my day off on the right foot. I’ve also learned to put my phone down. The first few weeks I caught myself on the phone all day. I Found out media is no good for the brain.
What’s the last gift that you bought for yourself?
A few weeks ago I bought myself some weighted jump ropes! It’s my favorite workout before heading to set.
What was your favorite TV show when you were a kid?
I had a number of shows that I loved. But oddly enough, “The Waltons.”
What’s your favorite – pie, cake, or ice cream?
Hands down chocolate cookie dough ice cream. It’s been that way since I can remember.
What’s the last song you’ve caught yourself singing in the shower?
Seasons of Love…don’t hate, it’s a good song!!
What books did you read in quarantine?
I [read] Chris Hogan’s “Everyday Millionaires,” Robert Greene’s “Mastery,” and Mike Bayer’s “Best Self.” I’m loving all of them. I… never had [that] much time to read and it’s changing my life.

Which movie do you know from start to finish?
Cool Runnings, Hitch, and Good Will Hunting.
What job could you never ever do?
I’m not sure. Any job I try to come up with I think, “I wouldn’t mind doing that.” I believe that’s why I became an actor. I’m really interested in everything.
What was your first car?
It was a 1992 Cadillac Seville. It’s still my favorite car that I’ve owned.
What’s your favorite summer activity?
Anything outside, reading, staying active. My wife and I just started sailing last year so hopefully a lot more of that this summer!
What’s your favorite amusement park?
Disneyland!!! It’s the greatest place on earth if ya didn’t know.
What song would you like to be playing in your real-life death scene?
Oh goodness, I don’t know. In the Eyes of An Angel?
