Lulu went ahead and let the divorce go through on General Hospital. Not because she didn’t love Dante anymore. She still does. Not because she wanted to. She doesn’t. But Lulu (Emme Rylan) let the divorce go through because it’s what Dante (Dominic Zaparonga) said he wanted.
Then again, isn’t Dante in a mental hospital, suffering from a severe case of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and scared that he might hurt Lulu, Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez), or Rocco?
How in the world can Dante know what he wants? And how can Lulu just go along with it? Did she make the right choice? What almost 12,000 fans had to say about the development:
If You Love Him, Let Him Go
It hurts a lot, but 86% of you are with Lulu. If she loves Dante, she owes it to him to let him go — if that’s what he wants. Dante needs to focus on his recovery and he doesn’t know how long that might take.
He doesn’t want Lulu pining away for him. He wants her to go on with her life. Dante feels he’s in Lulu’s way and, even if that isn’t true, she owes him the respect of heeding his wishes.
Plus, let’s be honest, it will just make his inevitable return and their ultimate reunion so much more dramatic and meaningful. This isn’t goodbye forever. This is soapy goodness at its soapiest!
Then Go Out There And Get Him
No, Lulu, don’t, a smaller 13% of the audience is begging. Don’t give up on Dante! Don’t give up on your love! Dante thinks he’s doing what’s best for you and your family, but he’s not thinking straight.
You’re going to have to do the thinking for both of you now, just like Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca. Hold onto Dante, and he’ll come back to you eventually. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
