Soap Hub and General Hospital (GH) fans are still baffled at the seemingly-sudden decision to let Robert Palmer Watkins go.
It turns out that Hayley Erin, who plays Dillon’s better half, Kiki Jerome, feels the same way.
“Rob is one of my closest friends. I cannot claim to know what is going on, but he will be missed,” Erin told Michael Fairman Soaps. “Rob called me up and told me when he was let go, and I didn’t believe him. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t want to believe it.”
She added that she gets “choked up” talking about it. “It’s Rob’s career, his life, and livelihood, but I am devastated. We really had a good thing going. I hope that the story is going to come together in a way for his exit that will give not only the fans, but Rob and me some closure.”
So, what is in store for Kiki next, a girl who is as unlucky in love as anyone on soaps? While some fans have pondered a triangle between Griffin, Kiki, and Ava, Erin admits that could be playing with fire–again.
“That would be interesting to put Ava and Kiki through that again over another man.” Remember, she was also put through this when Ava slept with Morgan.
Another fan suggestion is Kiki become a third party in the Michael and Nelle romance. Many fans see absolutely nothing in this couple and feel they were forced on them. And, with Kiki once briefly married to Michael, it would make sense for them to become involved once again. We guess time will tell…
