“Drew, Is That You?” Were YOU Shocked By This General Hospital Revelation?

General Hospital (GH) sure knows how to leave us hanging and that’s exactly what a good soap is supposed to do.

Rather than just make last week’s Thanksgiving episode about ruined turkey dinners and pizza, GH advanced a VERY big story with a VERY big twist. Drew, whoever he turns out to be (we are going to guess he will be the Jason who talks more), knew Kim Nero–and could be Oscar’s dad.

This was brilliant in so many ways. First, it plays Steve Burton and Tamara Braun’s chemistry once again after all these years, as Jason and her Carly incarnation were best friends like any Jason and Carly incarnation tends to be. Second, it gives us a look into Drew’s past.

But, did you see it coming? After all, we had never met Kim before and we have no clues about what Drew did for decades when not in Port Charles. Soap Hub asked about your shock factor and nearly 6,000 of you let us know how you felt.

The shocked contingent just edges out the knew-it-all-along contingent here with 52% of the vote. Nope, you never saw this coming, especially when, as mentioned, there have been no clues into Drew’s adult past at all.

And no, just because Kim thinks Original Jason is Drew, it does not mean he is. Both men would have had the same face until three years ago.

The other 48% of you were just waiting for this and could spot this move from a mile away. Oscar needs a dad, Drew needs a past, voila–here ya go. It’s something he won’t remember and if Billy Miller turns out to be Drew, then Kim has to get used to a whole new face like everyone else.

But, maybe when she meets him she’ll say, yeah, he sure seems like Drew, since everyone else is saying, nope, he sure doesn’t seem like Jason.
