On General Hospital, we first met him as John Doe. Then he was Jake, and then he spent a couple of years as Jason Morgan.
Finally, it turned out the mystery man was actually Drew, Jason’s (Steve Burton) heretofore unknown twin brother.
Unfortunately, Drew (Billy Miller) has no memories of his past, which includes Kim (Tamara Braun), mother of his son, Oscar (Garren Stitt). All his memories are on a flash drive. Because that’s totally a thing.
But, if Drew chooses to download them, he’ll erase all the memories he made as Jason, including marrying Sam (Kelly Monaco), mother of this daughter, Scout.
Which life and love should Drew choose? Almost 11,000 had something to say about that!
The Real You
Of course, Drew should pursue his past, 58% encourage. Nobody can live with a black hole where their memories should be. Drew deserves to know who he is, and how he became the man he is today.
Sam wants nothing to do with him. She’s all about Jason – or so the show would like us to believe, neither seems to be making much of an effort.
So, Drew might as well forget her – literally – and embrace his past. He can still have a relationship with Scout. Heck, Drew has a better relationship with Jake and Danny than Jason does, and he turned out to not even be the boys’ dad. He’ll grow to love Scout again, too.
Stay the Course
For 42% of you, however, it’s not worth it to give up the present for the past. Drew has a life in Port Charles now, relationships with Monica (Leslie Charleson), Franco (Roger Howarth), and Liz (Rebecca Herbst).
They are the ones that matter. Nothing in his past could mean as much. Plus, Scout needs her dad, not the guy who used to be her dad. She trumps all.
