Franco is not quite himself lately on General Hospital. In fact, he’s Drew. Of course, he’s no Drew that we know.
He’s only the Drew that Kim knows, who apparently was not anything like the Drew Cain who’s been hanging around Port Charles the past five years — first as Jake Doe, then as Jason Morgan, and then as himself.
Instead, this Drew (Billy Miller) has some Franco (Roger Howarth) nuances, but he’s a pretty militant guy with a chip on his shoulder for being the Quartermaine heir that was given away.
He also has a very strange accent for growing up in Upstate NY just like his twin and half the characters in the show and that one makes us scratch our heads.
But, he needs an official name while this storyline lasts. Soap Hub had originally chosen Dranco for our spoiler and recap purposes, but we notice social media has a few other ideas, so we’d like YOU, our readers, to choose Franco’s official Soap Hub hybrid name.
Should he be Dranco, the name we originally gave him and which sounds the most like his original name? Should we go all Mary Shelley on him and call him FrankenDrew. That’s certainly what he looked like as Dr. Cabot mapped the memories into his brain.
Or, what about simply DrewCo, so we have some thought of the now-missing Drew who left to find Andre and visit Afghanistan who we likely won’t see again for a while — if ever.
These are the important things us soap aficionados need to decide. Franco needs a name while in this altered state, and sadly, we can’t quite call him Franco and we can’t quite call him Drew.
So, vote in the poll on the side of this page and tell us what this ‘new’ character should be called until Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) has her husband back again. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
