Cassius And Lulu
Since his mysterious return, there have been moments when Nathan did not seem like himself. The most obvious was his lack of feelings for Maxie (Kirsten Storms).
Nathan and Maxie were the perfect and most in-love couple in Port Charles. His non-concern about her when he reappeared was odd, to say the least. Falling for her best friend was completely out of character.
He and Lulu (Alexa Havens) have become a happy couple, and it appears that he really cares for her. Cassius may have true feelings for Lulu, which he might not have counted on when he came to Port Charles to work for Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
Cassius pulled Rocco (Finn Carr) out of danger after he shot Cullum, so there may be some good in him. Lulu and her children may be the force to pull him away from the dark side.
Fake Good Guy
If Nathan/Cassius and Maxie had reunited, she would have seen he wasn’t her dead husband. She and Nathan knew each other too well.
It’s different with Lulu. She is not as aware of the differences between the brothers because the relationship is new. That may be what drew him to her, and his feelings may not be real at all.
Rescuing Rocco may have had an ulterior motive. Everyone knows that Jason (Steve Burton) would protect the teenager. He would never let Rocco be punished for saving his life.
Cassius just happened to appear on the pier immediately after Rocco shot Cullum. His kindness could have been masking his real motive, to get rid of Jason, and it worked.
