Danny has spent a lot of his young life on General Hospital trying to understand what it means to be Jason’s son. That is a strange inheritance, even by Port Charles standards. This week, Danny made a choice that could cost him Rocco’s friendship, but he did it for the same reason Jason usually walks into trouble with no exit plan: He thought it was the right thing to do.
Key Takeaways:
- Danny told Jack that Jason did not shoot Cullum.
- Danny revealed that Rocco was the one who shot Cullum.
- Jack warned Danny that the WSB may not care, and Rocco could be hurt.
- Danny risked his friendship with Rocco to help Jason.
- Charlotte admitted she would have done the same thing for Valentin.
Danny Couldn’t Stay Silent
Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) went to Jack (Chris McKenna) and said Jason (Steve Burton) did not shoot Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). Jack wanted more than his word, so Danny gave him the name that changed everything. He told Jack it was Rocco (Finn Carr).
That was not an easy thing to do. Despite their previous confrontation, Danny did not want Rocco punished, and he made that clear. But Jason was still locked up for something he did not do, and Danny could not sit there politely while his father took the fall.
Jack warned him that the WSB may not care and that pushing the truth could make life worse for Rocco. That was the price. Danny heard it and still tried, which is very Jason of him, only with more teenage panic and fewer leather jackets.

Jason’s Son Made a Jason Choice
The interesting part is that Jason never asked Danny to do this. Danny acted on his own, which may be the most Morgan thing about the whole mess. He saw the wrong person being blamed and decided friendship could not outrank the truth.
Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) understood that faster than anyone expected. She was angry that Danny had told Jack, but she also admitted that if Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) had been in Jason’s place, she would have done the same thing. That was a pretty big confession from someone who had every reason to defend Rocco first.
Danny may have damaged things with Rocco, and he knew that before he spoke. Still, he took the risk. Jason has spent years sacrificing personal ties for what he believes needs to be done, and now Danny has done the same thing. Like father, like son, unfortunately for everyone who enjoys a peaceful afternoon.
