Cult Classics: Yay or Nay, General Hospital Dawn Of Day?

From the time Kristina on General Hospital stopped whining about how terribly unfocused her life was and connected with Shiloh and his Dawn of Day group, viewers have had their suspicions about the organization’s – and Shiloh’s – true motives.

Sam (Kelly Monaco) decided to investigate Dawn of Day. She said it was to protect her sister. But it turns out Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) is also one of Sam’s past victims. She bankrupted his dad and, by extension, Shiloh, himself.

Shiloh also has a past with Drew (Billy Miller). They served in the military together, and there’s a chance Drew might know something Shiloh would rather not publicize. He doesn’t remember it now, but down the line…

Meanwhile, half the population of Port Charles is making Shiloh’s book a bestseller – even more than Lucy’s (Lynn Herring) tell-all “travel guide.” This story is all over the place. Is it also kind of a predictable mess? Over 10,000 viewers weighed in on whether they’d be joining this cult:

Yawn of Dawn
It’s boring 84% of you voted – not unlike Shiloh presumably did to Drew years ago. You don’t care about Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) and her millennial ennui, and you really don’t care about how she chooses to get rid of it. Sam’s past should be, as Elsa sang, in the past, and Drew’s memory is a non-issue.

Why is this guy suddenly a player in every story – is he even the biological father of Willow’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) baby, which means he’s going to get pulled into the Wiley, Lucas (Ryan Carnes), Brad (Parry Shen), Michael (Chad Duell), and Nelle (Chloe Lanier) mess. Enough!

Dawn Is On!
On the other hand, 15% of the audience is ready to join. You like the idea of being able to let go of your past and move on. Let’s all drink the Kool-Aid, already!
