Crystal Ball: Fans Pick Carly’s Future On General Hospital!

Carly Corinthos is the undisputed leading lady of General Hospital. There is nary a story she doesn’t have a key role–or an opinion on–and it likely won’t change much for 2019.

So what would fans like to see for their flawed but favorite heroine? Almost 8,000 of you were happy to share your thoughts:

Never Change
For 45% of the audience, Carly (Laura Wright) is perfect just the way she is. The woman has no flaws. She is the very best wife – -to whichever man she happens to be married to at the moment.

She is the very best mother. Michael (Chad Duell), Joss (Eden McCoy) and especially the much-mourned Morgan are/were the epitome of well-adjusted young people. And, well, she is a beloved paragon of Port Charles society. Never change, Carly. Never change.

Love In the Afternoon
A slightly smaller number, 43%, would like to see more romance for Carly and Sonny (Maurice Benard).

They realize Sonny is very busy, single-handedly keeping up Port Charles’ moral character, supporting Jason (Steve Burton) professionally, and suffering for humanity’s sins via the sharing of his dimples.

But, could he and Carly hit the sheets a little more often?

Take a Seat
Then again, 10% of you would like to see Carly talk less and listen more — Hamilton style — to Jason. Yes, she’s his BFF, ride or die chick, but that doesn’t mean she always knows what’s best for Jason.

Just most of the time. Maybe this is the year Carly might consider letting Jason make a couple of decisions for himself.
