Ever since Sonny lost his memory on General Hospital, he has been living in Nixon Falls, going by the name Mike and earning his daily bread as a humble bar employee – who seems to be good at all things and takes off from work whenever he feels like it like a boss… a mob boss.
Nina (Cynthia Watros) accidentally stumbled upon Smike (Maurice Benard), and now the two are slowly inching towards… something. Could Our Man Smike be falling for the Port Charles pretty? How almost 4,000 viewers feel about the possibility:
A little more than half of you, 52%, are convinced that Smike has got it bad – and you think it’s cruel. How is the poor, innocent man supposed to feel when he learns that the woman he’s grown to trust not only lied to his face but also kept him from his true love, Carly (Laura Wright), and their mostly invisible children?
More importantly, she has left Port Charles unprotected, at the mercy of any mobster who doesn’t have their best interests at heart!
On the other hand, 27% of the audience agrees that Smike has got it bad – and you think it’s hilarious. Sonny is so used to always being in control, always being the one who knows more.
If someone is going to be taken advantage of, then Sonny will be the one taking the advantage! The idea that he might be the one being played, the one being exploited, the one not in control is absolutely delicious – and absolutely hysterical. You can’t wait to see the faces he makes when he finds out.
It’s not a problem, because it’s never going to happen, 21% of the remaining voters shrug. Nina can bat her eyelashes all she wants, but Smike will never fall for it. Sonny is too smart. Even when he’s not himself. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
