Will Blaze Ruin Kristina Corinthos’s Surrogacy Plans on GH?

No one has ever accused Kristina Corinthos of thinking through her actions on General Hospital. She always leaps before she looks and then looks all confused about why her latest brilliant idea has blown up in her face.

Kristina Corinthos: History Repeats Itself

It’s happened in every single one of her relationships and in her professional goals, as well. So no one is surprised Kristina (Kate Mansi) is, once again, offering to carry her sister, Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos), baby. While diving into a new relationship with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), to boot (refresh your memory about their new relationship here). Will this be a deal-breaker for the relationship or the surrogacy, or is something even worse coming down the pike for all of them?

Health Hazard

In the real world, surrogates are strongly advised to have given birth previously so that they can speak knowledgeably about the experience and make intelligent decisions. Soaps have a tendency to throw that requirement out the window. Kristina has no idea how she’ll feel about being pregnant, about the delivery, or about giving up the baby she carried and bonded with for nine months.

Mental Health Hazard

In the real world, surrogates are strongly advised to discuss how such a pregnancy will affect their partners. And not to start any relationships in the interim. Soaps have a tendency to throw that requirement out the window. Which is why Kristina is willy-nilly kissing Blaze.

The Nix Mix

What if Blaze tells Kristina she’s not interested in getting involved in her family drama? Will Krissy withdraw her offer? Won’t that make Molly and TJ (TJ Bellow) even more cranky than usual? Or what if Blaze says, “Yeah, sure, whatevs,” and Kristina goes ahead and gets pregnant, and then, halfway through, Blaze goes, “Nah, I’m not into this, after all.”

Or worse? Blaze seems kind of shifty, doesn’t she? What if she loves the idea of getting involved in the Davis family drama? Because then she can manipulate it for her own purposes? Like, say, talk Kristina out of giving the tot up…while, at the same time, extorting Molly for money to make Kristina change her mind? This better have some payoff!
