Why Portia and Curtis Are Port Charles’ Most Selfish Couple
Portia (Brook Kerr) and Curtis (Donell Turner) are terrible people. Not because they had an affair back when Portia was married to Taggert (Real Anderws). That’s not really a sin in Port Charles, considering everybody cheats on everybody every time they get the chance (and sometimes even when they don’t).
It’s not because Portia lied about Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) paternity. Again, a Port Charles staple, and if we condemned her for that sort of lie, we’d have to condemn… everybody. Right, Monica (Leslie Charleson)? Elizabeth (Rebecca Hearbst)? Carly (Laura Wright)? Ava (Maura West)?
How Portia and Curtis Erased Taggert From Trina’s Life
No, what really stuck in our craw (even if we don’t know where exactly that is) was how, the minute the truth about who Trina’s biological father came out, Portia and Curtis did their best to shove Taggert out of her life. Sure, they paid lip service to the fact that he’d been her dad for two decades, and how they wanted him to remain a part of her life, blah, blah, blah… But words are one thing. Actions are another.

And then there’s Curtis. Remember how he divorced Jordan (Tanisha Harper) because she lied to him? About… work stuff?
Portia has lied to Curtis about a lot more than that. And he let it go. Which makes him a hypocrite.
Now, of course, everyone in Port Charles is also a hypocrite. So it’s not any one thing. It’s all the things. And that’s why Portia and Curtis don’t deserve a happily ever after… ever. See how this storyline plays out next week in our weekly GH spoilers for September 8-12.
